Cafe Co-ordinator: Berries Community Café
25 hours a week; £13 per hour
The role is a fixed term contract with an anticipated start date as soon as possible.

As part of the process, it is likely we will ask applicants to participate in a trial shift at the cafe after the interviews have taken place.

This role requires someone who is self-motivated and able to prioritise, with 3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment, you should have a Level 3 qualification in Food Safety and the ability to be resourceful where appropriate, especially with food. Previous experience of being a key holder and good local knowledge e.g. suppliers/groups/facilities in the area desirable. You should be able to be flexible, have excellent communication skills, a real interest in the local community, and essentially, the ability to inspire and motivate a team of volunteers.

Some background Info
Berries Community Cafe extends and complements Neetside Community Centres reach into the community; providing a space where groups can meet and individuals can spend time. The café is at the heart of the building, enabling people to come together to spend time in a warm and welcoming environment; with healthy, affordable, locally sourced and homemade food and a variety of learning activities alongside.
The café supports the local community by signposting to useful organisations and services, by providing a space where groups and organisations can meet with the public and through it’s own programme of activities; including the café volunteers.
Berries Community Café is the sister venue to Neetside Community Centre, both buildings are managed by the charity Bude Stratton Community Project
